One day, Sayaka was suddently pulled into a strange dimension known as the Strain Area. There, she meets a woman from a mysterious group known as the Ludens, who claim to have awakened to self-awareness thanks to somebody's interference. ...At least, that's how it begins. Sayaka is the protagonist of this story. Before she woke up, it seems she mindlessly fought various opponents according to certain rules. Perhaps the God of Death happened to see her back then, somewhere?

Now she lives together with Shina Ninomiya, who gave Sayaka her name. Since it wouldn't be prudent to stay unemployed forever, Shina invited Sayaka to her own workplace—a game company. Looks like a happy work life is about to begin, huh? ♪ Her first job is to debug a new game called End to Odyssey.

She's also a bit of an otaku. Maybe that's why she loves playtesting the games Shina helps develop. As she continues debugging the company's in-house games, she starts encountering bizarre phenomena, the laws of reality begin to distort, and in time, she battles a threat that targets the entire world.
