Role: Josephy
Mr. Makoto Furukawa
Question: Please share what your thoughts were after finishing the recording!
The characters and the scenario were well-developed, which made me frustrated when I struggled to pronounce words during recording. However, although I felt that way during Josephy's route, ending on a positive note in the true ending gave me a sense of fulfillment after we finished recording. It feels similar to the satisfaction you experience after reading a good book.
Question: What was your first impression of the character you played, and did your impression change after performing the role?
Josephy, with his arrogant demeanor befitting a prince of a fallen nation, gradually revealed his past and sense of responsibility as royalty as the story progressed. I felt I was shown the true spirit of what a royal should be. By the time recording finished, I trusted Josephy so much that I thought I wouldn't mind being a resident of his kingdom. I believe he would be a good king.
Question: Could you tell us what you kept in mind while portraying your character?
Josephy is a character who embodies the whims of a prince and the decorum and mindset of royalty. I took care in switching between those behaviors during recording. There were many scenes where he conversed with the heroine and showed his sense of responsibility as a king while still acting spoiled. However, I struggled a lot with the type of formal speech that's unique to royalty. As an ordinary person, I could only think, "Wow, royalty is really something else."
Question: What are the highlights of this work, and were there any particularly memorable scenes?
While the serious scenes are, of course, interesting, the fact that there is always comedic relief even after continuous serious scenes is one of the strong points of this work. As for the scenarios themselves... to avoid spoilers, the scene where a knight takes an oath was very impressive. Please give it a try.
Question: The protagonist is chosen thanks to her strong luck. Have you had any moments in your life where you felt you were lucky?
The fact that I've been able to continue working up to this point is thanks to strong luck. Thankfully, I've been able to work as a voice actor for over ten years. Although I've honed my skills through experience, if you take that away, I don't have particularly outstanding abilities. Looking back, I think luck played a significant role in allowing me to accumulate experience and reach where I am today.
Question: Could you share an "unlucky" event that happened to you?
This morning while shaving, my hand slipped, and the shaver I was holding fell with a crash. The hairs collected in the shaver scattered all over the sink. I'll clean it up when I get home.

This is a whimsical knight story woven by catchy titles and characters. It is a story that leaves you feeling refreshed after completing it. I hope that everyone who plays this game will also be blessed with good fortune. Please look forward to its release!
Role: Adel
Mr. Sho Karino
Question: Please share what your thoughts were after finishing the recording!
I felt relieved and accomplished! When I recorded the final lines of the main story, I was deeply moved... I felt sad thinking, "Aww, it's ending!" So I was glad that there were bonus recordings afterward, and happy to continue playing Adel! Haha.
Question: What was your first impression of the character you played, and did your impression change after performing the role?
My first impression of Adel was, "Wow! A handsome guy! A nice young man with a gentle demeanor!" And he turned out to be just that, haha. But he was much more resolute, sincere, straightforward, honest, kind, hardworking, and experienced than I initially thought... As the story progressed, my appreciation for his character deepened significantly!
Question: Could you tell us what you kept in mind while portraying your character?
I started by organizing the social hierarchy and family background, considering the class differences. After that, I focused on how Adel perceived the world and how he felt about the people around him. I also felt he was the type to switch quickly between his knightly self and regular self, so I paid attention to that as well.
Question: What are the highlights of this work, and were there any particularly memorable scenes?
I can't go into too much detail, but... the scene where Adel decides to become a knight is very memorable! His way with words was truly beautiful, and I approached that scene with a strong sense of commitment! There are many other moments too, but... I can't say more! I hope we can talk more about it after everyone has played the game!
Question: The protagonist is chosen thanks to her strong luck. Have you had any moments in your life where you felt you were lucky?
I have a knack for not picking the wrong card in the final two of Old Maid! ...Okay, I'm exaggerating a bit. I get it wrong sometimes. If I think, "This isn't the Old Maid," and choose the opposite card, I usually win. I must be sensing the aura of the Old Maid. I guess you could say that's strong luck.
Question: Could you share an "unlucky" event that happened to you?
Today, I decided to treat myself and bought a slightly pricy 170-yen apple juice from a vending machine. But the neighboring 130-yen brown rice tea dropped down instead. I tried to buy another one, but the apple juice said it was sold out as soon as the tea came out.

The story was so interesting that I couldn't stop reading it after receiving the script! My emotions were constantly stirring during recording. It might be nice to play the game while sipping some tea, haha. I hope you enjoy the world of Temirana to the fullest, alongside the charming knights with their bad luck and the princess they serve!
Role: Tobias
Mr. Yusuke Kobayashi
Question: Please share what your thoughts were after finishing the recording!
The story was very expansive and had a lot of depth. The storylines for each character were quite different, and the way everything finally converges into one was magnificent after reading it all. That was very impressive.
Question: What was your first impression of the character you played, and did your impression change after performing the role?
My impression changed quite a bit. I won't say why, as it would be a spoiler, but if you play the game knowing his officially released character profile, there will come a moment when you think, "Huh?!" I also found that there were more comedic scenes than I expected. The staff allowed me to have a lot of fun with it, haha.
Question: Could you tell us what you kept in mind while portraying your character?
Once he set his sights on becoming a knight, he was always positive. I approached the recording with an awareness of his constant joy in being able to do things he previously couldn't and his ability to keep looking forward, which made even his missteps seem endearing.
Question: What are the highlights of this work, and were there any particularly memorable scenes?
At one point, he ends up infiltrating enemy territory with the princess, and their time living together seemed really fun. Despite Tobias always seeming tense, his unexpected calmness and occasional surprising comments are highlights.
Question: The protagonist is chosen thanks to her strong luck. Have you had any moments in your life where you felt you were lucky?
Becoming a voice actor. No matter how much you study and practice acting, to actually be part of this industry and receive roles still relies heavily on luck, I feel.
Question: Could you share an "unlucky" event that happened to you?
I can't really think of anything...
If I had to pick, it would be my bad luck with gacha, haha.

This time, we've gathered a bunch of unlucky guys. Bearing such misfortune on their backs and eliciting sympathy rather than scorn, I'm sure they will stir your maternal instincts. Use your strong luck to guide them to a wonderful ending.
Role: Milan
Mr. Shuhei Sakaguchi
Question: Please share what your thoughts were after finishing the recording!
It was a lot of fun. That being said, I was also quite tired. All the katakana for the foreign words was so hard!
Question: What was your first impression of the character you played, and did your impression change after performing the role?
First impression: Handsome knight in an otome game → "Hey, am I really the right person for such a dazzling role?" Afterward: Learns he's unsociable and loves sweets → "Oh... I guess I can do this! Haha!"
Question: Could you tell us what you kept in mind while portraying your character?
Considering Milan's personality, I made sure to maintain good posture while I spoke. But I tried to keep my heart and mind relaxed at the same time. Ah, acting is so difficult!
Question: What are the highlights of this work, and were there any particularly memorable scenes?
There was a line like, "I like sweets. The sweeter, the better." I'm quite the sweet tooth myself, but I can't go that far. Well done, Milan!
Question: The protagonist is chosen thanks to her strong luck. Have you had any moments in your life where you felt you were lucky?
Being in the voice acting industry for over twenty years and still continuing to work, which led to this game!
Question: Could you share an "unlucky" event that happened to you?
Three days after finishing the recording for this project, I got COVID-19 and am now writing this questionnaire while wrapped in a blanket. Haha.

I found the story of "The Lucky Princess and the Tragic Knights" to be very well-thought-out. While reading the script at home, I often exclaimed, "Oh, wow! I see." So how is Milan portrayed in the story... I bet you're curious, right? Please be curious! Haha. I'm quite fond of the bonus audio drama. Please look forward to this title.
Role: Kiya
Mr. Kazutomi Yamamoto
Question: Please share what your thoughts were after finishing the recording!
Playing Kiya, whose emotional state resets every day, allowed me to learn how to play a character whose development isn't linear and continuous. Kiya is such a good boy. I want to act as Kiya again. I miss Kiya.
Question: What was your first impression of the character you played, and did your impression change after performing the role?
Before reading the script, I thought it must be hard to forget everything daily, but he turned out to be quite efficient and easygoing despite his poor memory. His interactions with Tobias were entertaining every time.
Question: Could you tell us what you kept in mind while portraying your character?
Kiya doesn't express his emotions much, but I thought about how he got that way and tried to convey how he grows through his different experiences and thoughts.
Question: What are the highlights of this work, and were there any particularly memorable scenes?
The actions Kiya takes after you choose him will definitely move you. The most memorable and fun scene to act out was when Kiya went to the beach with everyone. There are a lot more, and depending on which knight you choose, you'll see completely different scenes and images, so I hope you fully enjoy the story.
Question: The protagonist is chosen thanks to her strong luck. Have you had any moments in your life where you felt you were lucky?
It's not exactly luck, but I feel like I have a beckoning cat* ability, where empty stores get busier after I enter them.
*Editor's Note: This is a reference to a Japanese cat figurine with a curled paw, like it's beckoning. These are often displayed in shop windows for good luck and to wave people inside!
Question: Could you share an "unlucky" event that happened to you?
There was this regular milk tea in a paper box that I loved drinking, but it was discontinued and relaunched as a royal milk tea.
Please give a message to the fans who are eagerly anticipating this release!
Please take good care of Kiya! The Tragic Knights have gathered to protect you—someone who is so kind, strong-willed, and hard-working. I hope you enjoy spending time with the characters and seeing all the facets of their personalities. I am positive that they will bring you happiness, so I hope you look forward to it.
