A calm, level-headed researcher who worked as part of the Dawn. He is known for his rapid problem-solving skills, which makes up for his hopelessness on the battlefield. He, along with others in the group, was resurrected from death thanks to his emotions being preserved within a weapon from the original Dawn members.

He is childhood friends with Kaede, who often treats him like a child.
