Enjoy forming your own fleet under Crosswave's rules!
- ・Kansen in the Main Fleet slots are able to directly join battle.
- ・Kansen in the Support Fleet slots offer skill support in tandem with the support listed under Fleet Effects.
- ・You will lose if all the Kansen in the Main Fleet are destroyed.
- ・Those in the Support Fleet will not take any damage.
- ・As long as the Kansen are participating in the Joint Military Exercise (the characters on the upper tier under the Characters page), any of them can be placed in the Main Fleet slots.
- ・Aside from the 2 Sirens, all the other remaining characters can be placed in the Support Fleet slots.
- ・Different from the mobile game, you can deploy without using fuel, and negative effects won't carry on into battle.
Fleet Effects
Characters in the Main Fleet slots may receive special bonuses depending on who you place in the Main Fleet and Support Fleet slots.

- This offers a guide as to how powerful your fleet is. A tenth of that value is added as a bonus to your HP.

Carrier Type
Each character is designated by a carrier type, and this plays an important role for characters that are placed in the Main Fleet slots.
Destroyer | Destroyers are very fast, and their torpedoes are exceptionally powerful. They aren't very resilient, and their ranged attacks aren't very powerful. They are weak against normal fire. | |
Light Cruiser | Light Cruisers have features of both destroyers and heavy cruisers. They do well against aircrafts, so they excel using anti-air weapons. They are weak against normal fire. | |
Heavy Cruiser | They aren't very fast, but their lock-on gauge charges faster than any other vessels. They can deal more damage than battleships if they can use their lock-on attacks frequently. | |
Battleship | They are very powerful and can take a great deal of damage, but their initial weapons lack firing speed. They are the slowest of all the vessels, and they use a Guard technique where other types use Dash. They are very resilient against normal fire, but are weak against armor-piercing shells as well as torpedoes. | |
Aircraft Carrier | They are the only ones who can equip aircraft. The aircraft they equip will automatically deploy and attack enemies (they strike in the direction of their deployment). The aircrafts are able to attack effectively against all vessels. Note that they can be shot down, so aircraft excels when the number of enemies have dwindled. |
Change the Kansen's properties using various equipment!
There is a myriad of equipment available. You can equip a destroyer's turret to a battleship to come up with a battleship Kansen that can unleash a flurry of powerful shots. You can also use the equipment to augment weak points, or to strengthen their features. What you equip on who will be key towards victory.
Gather rare items!
You can obtain rare items on the Ocean Map in the results screen after a battle, or at Akashi's Laboratory. Akashi will ask for very rare items, but in exchange, she will inform you where you can get other rare items, so use this to your advantage. You may even come across an item that will completely change the way you control the Kansen!
Character-specific skills
Each character has a number of character-specific skills, such as their "Lock-On attack."
All skills can be strengthened using items, and will show their true power when they are maxed.
The skills used by those in the Main Fleet slots and the Support Fleet slots are different, but the skill levels are reflected on both.

Note that if you have the same category of skills active, their effects are boosted,
so depending on how you form your fleet, they may exhibit firepower and defensive qualities beyond belief!

How to use your skills often during battle
Skills generally take time to fill their gauges, but defeating enemies helps to fill gauges faster. The lock-on attack is best used against boss characters, but if you are in need of using particular skills, using the "lock-on attack" on common enemies may be an option.
Difficulty Settings
The game features the following difficulty settings, which can be changed at any time during the game.
EASY | The perfect difficulty for those new to shooting games. If you deploy a battleship, odds of you losing are close to none. | |
NORMAL | The perfect difficulty for those who are used to playing shooting games. Depending on your formation and leveling of your skills, you may be able to clear the game without extensive need of leveling your characters. | |
HARD | A challenging setting that is best for those who have cleared the game a number of times. All boss characters receive attack and defense boosts, making the entire playthrough challenging. Depending on how well you play, you may even experience battles that emulate what it would be like to face each character based on how strong they are in the story. |
Tips on how to master HARD mode
Among the 3 Kansen in the Main Fleet slots, the 2 other characters you aren't actively using enter a state called Defense Mode.
- Defense Mode Features -
- ① They will automatically guard enemy attacks.
- ② Support attacks aren't very accurate and fire in the direction of the player character's attacks
- ③ They will not use skills or lock-on attacks.
In particular, ① is very important. Your characters can't revive during the battle if they are defeated,
so if you notice any one of them taking quite a hit, change your controlled character to a different Kansen.
This will make sure that Kansen doesn't take any more damage.
The Recovery Cubes that the common enemies drop will heal 20% of all Main Fleet Kansen's health, so you can gather them to help prevent your Main Fleet from being destroyed.

You are able to share anything during the course of the game, even the ending.
The game is also balanced based on the HARD difficulty setting, so if you are interested in the story, you can set the difficulty to EASY, and speed through the battles to enjoy the story. Of course, you can also test your skills by starting the game on the HARD setting too.
