Chain is a cooperative attack system that can be activated by swapping characters during an attack, with each chain bringing bonuses like increased damage. After combining multiple chains together, you can activate a "Link Chain," a simultaneous strike between party members equal to the number of chains in your combo.

There are three types of simultaneous attack follow-ups to a Link Chain: "Line," "Surround," and "Combined."
» Chaining is Easy with the Recommendation Display
While activating a Combo Skill, Finisher Combo, or Tactical Skill, a recommended Chain will be displayed, allowing you to combo with ease.
The Strength of Your Bonds, Link Level
The Link Level is shared between your party members and increases by one every time the Link Gauge is filled. The Link Gauge increases not only from attacks but also from party members attacking together or providing heals and support. It fills the fastest from Link Chains.
The Pinacle of Their Strengths, EXE Drive
By using all of your Link Levels, your character can unleash their EXE Drive, a powerful strike that deals massive damage in flashy fashion. Available from Link Level 1 upward.
Surpassing All Limits Together, Link Drive
At Link Level 2 or above, you can activate a powerful AOE special attack, Link Drive. Using all your Link Levels, you can deal massive damage to all enemies. At higher levels, the rest of the party will also support the attack.
Varied, Exhilarating Combo Action
Try out a variety of skills, including fast approaching gap closers on distant foes, or tricky backsteps that keep you safe at range.Three Types of Skills
・Power: Deals high damage and flinches the enemy.・Break: Breaks the enemy's guard. Less likely to flinch when attacked.
・Rush: Piles on the hits with a quick flurry of strikes.
Enemies will also make use of these attacks, so be sure to keep an eye out.
Linking Combo Skills With Simple Controls
You can continuously dish out Combo Skills simply by pressing a button repeatedly, and with each Combo, your power increases. Tactical Skills, Goddess Transformation, and EXE Drives can be linked into after a Combo Skill.Deal a Final Blow with the Finisher Combo
End out your combo with a powerful finisher Combo Skill before continuing the attack by linking into a Chain.
Consider the order in which you dish out skills to create your own unique Combos, like those that give the opponent no time to recover or those that specialize in powerful hits!
Two Combo Routes
You can set up to two Combo Routes and swap between them mid-route for even more varied attacks. Observe the enemy carefully, and use the right combo to deal tons of damage.
Take Heed of Combo Traits
If you use certain types of Skills before activating another one, a Combo Trait will be activated, which increases its ability. By using Combo Make while being mindful of traits, you can realize even stronger Combos!
Link Combo Skills and Increase Power Further!
When activating Tactical Skills by linking it with Combo Skills, the attack will become even more powerful.
Shortcut Commands
Place the Tactical Skills of characters not being controlled in the Shortcut Commands to easily activate them! Use up your filled gauge effectively in order to make use of a coordinated attack.
Power Up With Goddess Transformation and Awakening!
When the Goddess Gauge is full, you can use Goddess Transformation or Awakening. The transformation will gift you various power-ups, making it the perfect time to launch a counterattack. While in use, the gauge will decrease over time, and you will transform back once it hits zero, so make sure to take advantage while it lasts!
Finish Things off With an EXE Drive!
Deal massive damage by activating an EXE Drive during Goddess Transformation/Awakening. Activating the EXE Drive will end the transformation, so make sure to choose your timing carefully.
