Long ago, a war was waged between the Vile God and the Goddess.

The battle was fierce; the two were equally matched.
Finally, both sides unleashed special weapons that contained fairies imbued with their power.
Using this power, each god sealed away the other within another world.

And so, time passed...

The weapons that the Goddess and the Vile God left were called Furies,
and the warriors who used them were called Fencers.
Rumors arose that the Furies were so powerful, whoever collected them all would be granted one wish.
As a result, Fencers fought each other endlessly to obtain them.
By chance, a young man named Fang happened to unwittingly become a Fencer, and saved a girl named Tiara.
And she, too, was a Fencer.

From that day forward, Fang found himself an important part of the battle
between the Goddess and the Vile God.

As Eryn comes to, Fang is nowhere to be seen.
Only Sherman and his fairy Ryushin are there to greet her.

In an effort to figure out what has become of the world,
and to track down the missing Fang, Eryn and Sherman set off on another journey together.

But they're dismayed to discover their onetime friends
have apparently become pawns of Dorfa...

When Fang and Eryn awake, they find themselves standing in an all too familiar field.

They wind up saving a young girl's life,
and she insists on putting on a feast to thank them.

Within the city they find themselves witnessing the public execution
of a Dorfa member by the unfamiliar Justice Society.

Discovering that Galdo is among those set to be executed,
Fang moves quickly to rescue him, but...

Goddess

A deity said to have fought against the Vile God for the sake of all humanity.
No one knows exactly why she came to the defense of mankind.
The Vile God used his Furies to seal her away in a place which can only be described as not of this world...

Vile God

A deity who fought against the Goddess in an attempt to destroy mankind.
What he hoped to gain by eliminating humanity is unknown. The Goddess used her Furies to seal him away in a place which can only be described as not of this world...

Evil Goddess

A previously unknown third deity, connected to neither the Vile God nor the Goddess. Her body is enveloped by some kind of fog-like substance. She seems to possess the form of a woman, but it's unclear if she has any connection to the Goddess.

Fencers

Warriors who wield the power of the Furies. Not just anyone can become a Fencer; you have to be properly recognized by a fairy. By working together with the fairy within a Fury, a Fencer can become far more powerful than a normal human, gaining access to magical spells, special skills, and more.

Fairies

Entities that reside within Fairy Weapons known as Furies and draw on those weapons' abilities. Fairies are a completely different species from humans and live a world apart from normal people. Fairies demonstrate a huge variety of personalities as well as appearances, including humanoid, dragon, and even mechanical weaponry.

Fairy Weapons (Furies)

Weapons that house fairies and were used during the battle between the Goddess and the Vile God. They say that if you collect 100 of them, you'll be granted one wish. But nobody knows for sure if this is true. Furies are scattered all across different parts of the Zelwinds Region, and they can only be wielded by those worthy few who can forge a connection with a Fury's resident fairy. They're far too heavy to be used effectively by a regular human. Although, even if one isn't qualified to wield a Fury, it's still possible to draw a certain amount of power from it through a phenomenon known as "resonance."

Septerion Club

A mysterious organization that is attempting to implement their own idea of justice. Those who rebel against the Justice Society's rule are either sent to a forced labor facility, or simply sentenced to a public execution. They seem to be at odds with Dorfa, and treat any Dorfa members they apprehend just like any other rebel. They also sell expensive wine to the area's citizens, which is meant to represent the citizens' loyalty to the Justice Society. This further acts as a reliable source of income for them.

Dorfa

A multifaceted company that handles everything from food to real estate, travel services, land development, and even orphanage upkeep. They've been scheming to revive the Vile God and utilize its power to expand their own influence.

Zelwinds Region

The part of the world that serves as the stage of our story. This area is home to the bustling metropolis of Zelwinds, in which the headquarters of the notorious Dorfa Company is situated. The region exhibits extreme climate differences, moving from desert sands, snowy fields, and even volcanic activity.
